So, what is a concrete technologist?

A concrete technologist is a highly trained professional with a profound understanding of concrete, its properties, and most importantly, its effective and safe use in civil engineering applications. They are essentially the custodians of the concrete world, specializing in its science and production technology. Simon Rickett is one such professional, holding an Advanced Diploma in Concrete Technology from Imperial College and membership in the Institute of Concrete Technology (MICT).
